RULES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1) NO DOG IS ALLOWED ON THE GROUNDS WITHOUT A LEAD.
The only off lead work allowed is at the request and under the direction of an instructor.
2)Bitches in Season must not be brought onto or near the training grounds.
3) No child under 10 years is allowed to train a dog on these grounds.
4) For safety reasons children who are on the club grounds and are not handling/training dogs must stay on the concrete apron of the club house when classes are being conducted. (reminder to parents to bring games or items for your children so that they have things to do while you are training your dogs).
In the case of agility classes children may be sat near dogs’ crate set up.
5) Appropriate footwear must be worn. i.e. covered in shoes/trainers.
6) Should your dog foul the grounds it is your responsibility to clean up after it.
Plastic bags are provided for this purpose, and it is always handy to carry a couple in your pocket to save a lot of walking to and from the canteen.
PLEASE DON’T TOILET YOUR DOG ON THE TRAINING AREA, CLUBHOUSE OR SHEDS!!
Use the fence line on Beryl Parade or the wooden fence side.
7) Keep your dog close, especially in the proximity to other dogs.
Be aware of your dog and other dogs and avoid confrontations. Give each dog some personal space. Move away from a dog that takes an obvious dislike to your dog or vice versa.
8) Dogs that need space should wear a yellow ribbon to inform others –
NOT TO ALLOW THEIR DOGS TO APPROACH OR NOT TO APPROACH THEMSELVES.
9) IF YOUR DOG HAS A TENDENCY TO BITE EITHER PEOPLE OR OTHER DOGS IT WILL BE REQUIRED WEAR A MUZZLE FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL.
10) Dogs MUST always be supervised. They must either be on lead and held by their handler or safely crated in a suitable secure crate.
11) Handlers must behave in a proper and polite manner. Inappropriate behaviour may result in you being asked to leave the grounds.
12) No harsh handling of dogs will be allowed. Anyone seen hitting or kicking their dogs will be asked to leave.
13) Chatting with other handlers during the class or not being attentive to the instructor is disruptive and at times rude. If you do not pay attention, you may miss something important being taught. In any case if you wish to chat, please leave the class so that others may concentrate and learn.
15) All Agility Dogs need a crate. All dogs not running a course need to be on a lead with their Handler or in a crate, so going onto a course or coming off a course dogs need to be on a lead. This is good practice for trials.
16) All Rally and Trick Dogs Need a crate.
17) Our training grounds are No Smoking. Please utilise the picnic area to the right of the training grounds.
