Does  my dog need to be vaccinated?

Yes. You are required to provide proof of vaccination when you join and it is
expected that you will maintain them into the future.

Can I train more than one dog?

Yes and No. Yes you can train more than one dog if they are in different classes
which are held at different times or in Agility trialing class where dogs run courses individually
However, trying to train 2 dogs in one obedience class
is virtually impossible and is very disruptive to other participants and is not
permitted.

What if I don’t want to compete I just want an obedient dog?

There is no expectation that everyone either wants or should compete. It is
quite acceptable to just come along for the fun of the training your dog and to
achieve a well behaved dog.

What dog training system does the club use?

All training provided by Jimboomba Dog Training Club is based on a reward
system. Harsh or unkind techniques are not acceptable or practised at any time

Are the trainers qualified?

Some trainers hold formal training qualifications but many are volunteers who
have been trained by the club and all provide their time and expertise at no
charge to the club. Please respect their volunteer status and treat them with
the respect they deserve. Remember while they are investing time in you and your
dog they are not able to train their own dog.

What will it cost?

All participants are required to join the club and are required to pay a class
fee per dog for obedience and agility.

What is my commitment?

Your commitment can be as little or as much as you choose. Obviously the more
you practice the more your dog will learn and the more enjoyable training
becomes. Similarly the club is made up entirely of volunteers and all members
are encouraged to consider what they can do to help.

How will I know if the training is cancelled due to weather?

The club has a facebook page all members are requested to join the page as notifications like cancellations due to weather. Or any other information will be put on there.

What is the link with CCCQ and do I have to join CCCQ?

these rules. You and your dog will need to join CCCQ if you want to trial or
compete. All purebred dogs with papers are eligible for CCCQ membership. Dogs
without registered pedigrees can join the Associate register.
